United States Girevoy Sport Instructor (USGSF) Certification is the most informative and technical certification available in Girevoy Sport!

Sunday: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

USGSI Certification Requirements
Attendees taking the USGSI certification course have to meet the following criteria in order to earn their diploma:
1. Technique of the exercise performance.
2. Safety of performing GS exercises and safety gears
3. Teaching skills
4. Pass the lifting test (Snatch and Jerk)
The Girevoy Sport is rich with various exercises which are classified as follows: classic (competitive), assisting, stunt (untraditional lifts).
For this part of certification you will be concentrated on technique of performing classic exercises such as Jerk, Snatch and Long Cycle.

Here's are a few examples on how to calculate your Jerk and Snatch totals:
If your goal is 21 total reps then you should Jerk about 11 reps and Snatch each hand 10 reps. Snatch counts 10+10 = 20, then divide by 2. Then just add your Jerk total (11 reps) plus your Snatch total (10 reps) equals 21 total reps.
Another example, if you Jerked only 5 reps then you should snatch 32 reps (add left + right hand) and then divide it by 2 (32 / 2 = 16) which equals 16. So your final calculation would be 5 Jerks + 16 Snatches = 21 total reps.
