Kettlebell Classes

We currently offer two types of traditional Russian Girevoy (Kettlebell) Sport Classes.  We can accommodate anyone at any fitness level.

Introductory Girevoy Sport Athletes
Our beginning Girevoy Sport classes are 30 minutes in length and focus on the technical aspects of Classic Style (Jerk & Snatch) and Long Cycle exercises.

Classes are Monday - Saturday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM; 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM
and start at the top of the hour and every half our after that. For example you may sign up for a 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM session or 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM.


Advanced Girevoy Sport Athletes
Our advanced Girevoy Sport classes are 1 hour in length and focus on both the technical aspects of Classic Style (Jerk & Snatch) and Long Cycle exercises, as well as the strength and conditioning aspects that will make a Girevoy Sport Athlete stronger and more resilient.

Classes are Monday - Saturday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM; 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

 USGSF Certification Requirements
​Attendees taking the USGSI certification course must meet the following criteria in order to earn their diploma:
  1. Technique of the exercise performance
  2. Safety of performing GS exercises and safety gears
  3. Teaching skills
  4. Pass the lifting test (Snatch and Jerk)
The Girevoy Sport is rich with various exercises which are classified as follows: classic (competitive), assisting, and stunt (untraditional lifts).
For this part of the certification you will concentrate on the proper technique of performing classic exercises such as Jerk, Snatch and Long Cycle.

​A typical Certification Schedule:
  • Friday: 8:00am - 12pm & 1:00pm - 5:00 pm
  • Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 pm & 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
  • Sunday : 9a.m. - 3:00p.m.
Please read all of the certification requirements below before you register.
  • Registration fee: $1,900.00
  • Register and pay by September 14, 2018 - $1,350.00 (and save $550.00)
  • Register and pay by September 28, 2018 - $1650.00 (and save $250.00)
  • Register and pay by October 12, 2018 - $1,750.00 (and save $150.00)
$100.00 Cancellation fee, no exceptions.  No refunds on cancellations after October 12, 2018
Dates for November 16-18, 2018
  • Registration fee: $1,900.00

USGSF members receive 10% off regardless of when they register.  Workshop price does not include living and travel accommodations.
Complimentary lunches, coffee and water will be provided on all days. We will be providing you with Competition Certified Russian Giri (CCRG)
to practice with at the workshop. CCRG's are not included in the price of the certification.  You will be able to purchase Giri at the workshop at 10% discount.  
And if 3+ people from one company register, each will receive 10% off of the price for certification.

Women's

Here's a few examples on how to calculate your Jerk and Snatch totals:If your goal is 21 total reps then you should Jerk about 11 reps and Snatch each hand 10 reps. Snatch counts 10+10 = 20, then divide by 2. Then just add your Jerk total (11 reps) plus your Snatch total (10 reps) = 21 total reps.

Another example, if you Jerked only 5 reps then you should snatch 32 reps (add left + right hand) and then divide it by 2 (32 / 2 = 16) which equals 16. So your final calculation would be 5 Jerks + 16 Snatches = 21 total reps.

STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING
​CAMPS & CLASSES

Gain strength and conditioning with the BEST coach in the world.  Strength and conditioning camps are 4 weeks long.

Strength & Conditioning Camp 
  • $1,000 -  12 Sessions (each session 1 hour long)
  • $2,500 - Morning and Evening sessions unlimited timing
Policies and Rules
  1. Training sessions and trainers are not available at all times.
  2. Russian Kettlebell Academy (RKA) reserves the right to provide a substitute trainer in the event of the original scheduled trainer being unavailable to conduct any or all sessions.
  3. All fees for this Fitness Service Agreement are immediately earned by RKA. You have the right to cancel within three (3) days of this Agreement.  After three days you are not entitled to a refund.
  4. A 24 hour advance notice is required to cancel a session; otherwise you will be charged for the session.​
